I'm wondering if some one can help with an explanation about why a Hotel has many rooms with tax lien on auction? 

They’re requesting what feels like an unreasonable amount of information, and the demands keep escalating.So far, they’ve asked for:A video tour of my home officeCredit checks on me and my partnerCopies of the deeds for every property we ownA copy of my partner’s home lease and utility billsBusiness phone billsA signed letter from the bank verifying our accountsBank statementsHonestly, it feels more like qualifying for a loan than trying to become a customer.

Most of my renters are nurses, engineers, and tax payer funded employees (Government workers). 

At least, if you don't want issues down the road tax wise and if the government finds out it could cause some serious legal issues.

If so, there are no transfer taxes due. 

I am looking to purchase real estate for both investment purpose as well as to offset as much tax liability as possible. 

Finally, check with the Town to make sure there are no municipal liens, Make sure they're on Town sewer, check with the tax assessor to see how many bedrooms the tax office thinks there are, (important if you are flipping) buy ok to have more bedrooms if you are planning to buy and hold.
