Have you figured out if you plan on using it and the enjoyment factor of owning STR?

We've been going to Edisto Beach or Harbor Island the last few years for a slower pace. we don't really get to be tourist when we are in Charleston we are working.. but we do enjoy the Restaurant scene and its a cool city.

I am also looking for part time as I already have a good paying engineering job that I enjoy.

We all have a limited amount of time to work, and there’s a constant push to maximize that time to earn as much as possible—so we can enjoy life beyond work.Most people work to meet their immediate needs—food, clothing, and shelter.

We have enjoyed them and they are super easy to deal with but the premiums are just too much.

My plan, after I accumulate enough property, is to refinance certain properties each year and collect the tax free "income" from that property and enjoy life. 

How much do you need to generate in investment income to either step away from your current job or do something you enjoy more but less pay?
