If it was a junkyard, gas station, wood treatment facility, transformer factory, etc, it will be contaminated. a few months ago, i saw a default notice laminated and ziptied to the fence of a large residential MF project in Kitsap county, so i looked it up.22m dollar default!

It looks the entire apartment is contaminated and a major asbestos abatement project.Especially, if you get an insurance company involved.

It's not a contaminated waste area and is only hazardous if you are sanding it and breathing the dust, or eating the paint chips. 

I was buying a crack house and had a "Contamination Specialist" certified by the state (who use to work in their department doing asbestos inspections) tell me that " if you worked in ship building or mining for decades, you could have a problem with your health.

The results came back, with trace meth levels just over the state limits for 'contaminated' (.5 mcg) in the AirBnB and a couple rooms in our private residence (as we share HVAC).My question is, does anyone have experience processing this sort of claim with AirBnB or their Home Owners / Umbrella insurance? 

So even elements that don’t appear damaged can be contaminated.

If so, contact the county and find out if there are any problems with the aquifer or anything that might have caused well contamination.

After I finally got them out, 4 months later, the house tested extremely high for meth contamination.

I know Bed Bug issues are a huge item and some owners are using a addendum for treating them, regardless it's hard to prove how they were introduced and harder to control if tenants hesitate to call for pest control treatment because they don't have the money to call for service, then you have potential for contamination to more units and it just spreads. 

I would also obtain a phase 1 environmental test performed to ensure grounds aren't contaminated, if they are - run!
