Very happy with the Geothermal system as it will last longer, be cheaper to operate, safer because there is no onsite combustion of fossil fuels, eliminated the use of propane, and reduces our carbon footprint.

They should be located outside all sleeping areas (hallway), in common living areas on each floor, and in each bedroom.There does not appear to be any carbon monoxide detectors.

We also use the combo smoke/carbon wireless interconnected ones so when one goes off they all go off on tenant turns and new acquisitions and we use the non wireless ones for existing units, but still the combo smoke/carbon.We also make sure to test them when moving in a tenant, in front of the tenant and have them sign a separate smoke detector addendum to the lease that states they alarms were working at move-in, they understand they are not to remove and they are responsible for the batteries and maintenance.

I keep a carbon copy receipt book in my car for just such purposes.When I negotiate a price, I don't ask for nor do I expect to receive a "discount" so someone can cheat on their taxes.
