Property prices are high and still increasing quickly.The south shore, where I live, consists of the area close-ish to the coast, south of Boston beginning at about Braintree and heading south to the Cape Cod Canal - running as far west as about RT 24. 

You can find much better investments out in the north shore(especially Lynn) and in the Lowell area.

Maybe have a temporary place in mind in case you need to vacate for work or other reasons.Mail and Utilities: To manage these, you could have separate accounts for each property or include utilities in the rent for your tenants.

This comes from two directions--first is from passive investors who looked to you to shore up the deal if the sponsor screwed up. 

A seascape looks awesome near the shores, but would look very out of place in North Dakota.
