Its MUCH harder for any electrician or HVAC or plumber since qualification testing is involved.

By trade I’m an electrician but by no means experienced in diy home renovations.

• If you do you're going to find to find some reputable service professionals in your area such as an electrician, a plumber, an inspector..• How do you plan on doing the bookkeeping for your property?

I believe I'm in compliance with properly paying my couple resident employees who do a few hours of work for me, but I'm a bit concerned about what they are going to dig into and how much they will want to know about the small businesses I contract for various jobs (landscaping, painters, handyman, electrician, etc).  

A electrician?  

I would also be interested in finding good plumbers and electricians in the area who have fair prices.

Renovations took 2 full months and about 8 different sub-contractors including landscapers, painters, an electrician, wood floor re-finishers, granite installers, cabinet makers and carpet installers.

I will check with a couple electricians to see what it would cost to upgrade the wiring. 

Homes with Knob & Tube or Aluminum Wiring (even if you can't see it in basement or attic have your electrician check to see if it's still in the walls)4.

Anyone working on your behalf as a contractor, electrician, real estate agent, or property manager should hold the necessary license.
