We've done some research on umbrella insurance policies, LLCs, etc but I'm having a hard time deciphering the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy.Thanks!

I also have a couple of rental policies in my own name but when I went to the insurance company to ask about getting an umbrella coverage - they said that the LLC could be problematic and didn't give me a quote.

For your purposes, if you are worried about liability just get an umbrella policy (they are relatively cheap).2) Buying a new property in my opinion is not investing.

Hello,I have three properties and an umbrella insurance I am trying to get a good lead on a low cost insurance company or a site where I could compare. 

I'm well aware I need to shop around umbrella insurance.  

A few other investors I know create an LLC for each individual property that they keep under one big umbrella LLC. 

So if I get extra coverage like an umbrella policy, does my lender pay for that too (with a higher monthly payment from me of course)?
