I also have a couple of rental policies in my own name but when I went to the insurance company to ask about getting an umbrella coverage - they said that the LLC could be problematic and didn't give me a quote.

For your purposes, if you are worried about liability just get an umbrella policy (they are relatively cheap).2) Buying a new property in my opinion is not investing.
