What matters is that you are ready to act and you understand how to recognize opportunity when it presents itself.  

If you consistently analyze properties, it will be much easier to recognize a good deal when it shows up.

Brian, I have 0 doubt you will make it through the other side just fine :) One thing I'm reasonably good at is recognizing people who have potential; most of my hires over the years have been fantastic.
