Years ago I purchased my own home first and while that worked out just fine, If I had a time machine I would have used house hacking strategy first.

Also get a quality machine for sure.

@Colin, your story solidified this in my head and then the whole machine sort of became clear to me.I'm years behind you all - took me too long to see the machine at play, but I was totally bought into the "wow these are two really nice people!"

The site is not easily accessible by machines and is over 100 feet from the primary house.

Since adding a new hook-up on the second floor cost a lot, I was thinking of adding a new set in the basement, then how should I let tenant only use their assigned machines?
