My husband and I have bare land in Sandpoint which is where we were born and raised... just living in North Dakota right now for the oil industry, plan to move back in a few years and build on the land.

I gave them a can of oil based paint.  

When I sold my last house all of the fixtures except the ones in the 2nd bathroom were oil-rubbed bronze...I found this Rustoleum spray paint that was made to go on metal and sprayed that (shower fixtures, tp holder, light fixture, towel holder, all cabinet knobs and doorknobs)...did the trick.  

No service, spiders and very low prices, section-8 friendly, comfort, a community feel, to be left alone, quite neighbors, parking for cars that leak oil all over the parking lot with no repercussion?

Also sealed all the walls with oil based killz.

To me its more like learning basic car maintenance (how to change the oil, brakes, etc).  

Since it was put on we have had oil and hydraulic fluid leaks and it didnt take.

Bleach binds with the oils left behind and they will get yellow.

I hired a company to power wash and stain (using oil based stain).
