It is amazing how much variation there is on lending guidelines, i suspect there is alot of "funny business" going on at some of these banks. 

If you want to invest in California, as with anywhere, KNOW the local market, because there are huge variations.

Just trying to get a sense of how much insurance rate variation there is in different markets.

I've seen wide variation in prices on Trulia and Zillow, that don't reflect actual value.

Reading then Hands-on because variation can come up, you enjoy the variety of tasks and challenges found in property management.

The biggest is that any retail appraisal would have a large variation in potential values and may not have any relationship to what a retail buyer might pay.

Variations include un-attended, partially attended and fully attended.

I have read all of these postings on this topic, am new to investing and these questions interested me as well, but I am hung up on wondering exactly do hard money and private lenders 1)generally just providing the $ and no ownership interest on the property and/or are there all kinds of variations, many getting ownership?

But there are so many variations on how interest is earned (does the state allow interest earned on premiums or not, is there a penalty rate).

There are so many variations nationwide I don't know if I can state a price that would be close to accurate.Good luck!
