So in most cases, I've found that very low bids are not an opportunity but a warning sign.   

Is it a viable option and what could I do to increase my success rate when taking this opportunity?

I've found that when I try finding other deal types or other business models or niches, I end up losing a ton of valuable time that goes nowhere.
