Jumbo mortgages are going to be more sensitive to the rate hike than conventional loans.  

It is simply a business model wherein the end buyer is paying a premium for a cash flowing property in exchanging for having to do little to no research or hands on activities.Properties that appreciate are much more sensitive to location than properties that just cash flow. 

They are not always the easiest to work with (Compliance and documentation standpoints)  and are very sensitive to Rate increases (think Fed funds).  

As a lender/seller he would have a very sensitive issue pursuing a deficit judgement given the current number of cases involving predatory lenders.
