We rehabilitated 2 kitchens with new applicances, 2 bathrooms, removed old oil chimney, new siding, landscape, turned our shed into an office, added egress windows to two bedrooms in the basement, added 200amp power instead of the outdated 60amp while separated the supply into two panels for upper and lower floor, modified threshold openings to make larger to allow more light, new doors, new fence.

I too love apartment buildings, but again I've not seen a deal in TO in some time ... the ones which have initially appeared to be good deals were hold-overs from rent control and sorely in need of serious rehabilitation.

As an advocate for folks in my housing program, I've gone to war with landlords over pet policies a couple times before (both flagrant instances of discrimination, not in the same ballpark as this) so I've read the HUD rules on this stuff more than a few times.According to HUD, Service animals (usually dogs) and companion/therapy animals (can be just about any pet) are indistinguishable according to Fair Housing Act and the Rehabilitation Act.
