@Rodney BufordKeep in mind that in order to take a distribution under the CARES Act you must have been impacted by the virus in one of the enumerated ways.If so, you can take a penalty-free distribution (as well as waive the 20% withholding requirement) from your 401k (assuming that the employer allows it) anytime between 1/1/2020 and 12/31/2020.

It is now on the market to rent and because of the Corona Virus situation I have experienced a ton of tire kickers who are sick of the quarantine and just think that they want to live in a more spacious environment and away from crowds, and who in most cases cannot afford my house.

Now that it's empty, I'm faced with a dilemma because of my fears that the market will crash later this year/early next year as a result of a virus resurgence causing high unemployment and associated economic woes, plus the cyclical downturn that was predicted even pre-covid.
