Given your questioning, it sounds like you might have put a deposit way too quickly on that property.

If you can match the paint, the walls could probably be touched up. $3,000 is reasonable for a full repaint.

Since you have 10k liquid, I would reach out to other investors in the area and see if they might need private lending for earnest money deposits until you are ready to buy your first property.

You may or may not wish to fix it since its likely too late to charge the last tenant's security deposit for it and also that it sounds so minor that people didn't even notice it right away.

If i can invest it and make a significant better return after tax than paying it down I would do that but in this instance you will never be able to achieve returns that match credit card debt.
