Tenants send in request after signing Contract
Hi BP community,
The property is located in Northern California, specifically in the Bay Area. The tenant signed the lease with the property management company about a week ago. Today, the property management company contacted me and relayed the tenant's concerns:
- 1. The tenant reported that the kitchen has minor stains and is requesting that I pay for an additional cleaning service.
- 2. A week ago, when I last visited my condo, everything was in order. However, today the tenant claimed that a blind suddenly fell.
My question is, do I need to cover the costs for these repairs?

It is very common for residents to note of issues within a week of move-in. In the scheme of things these costs are next to nothing. Yes, you should have to pay for them.
Blinds typically pop into a clip, so that might be 5 minutes to repair. If the kitchen was not cleaned properly, it certainly should have been. A few pictures should verify if there were stains.
