Section 8 in Charlotte in particular has recently been much stricter on these deadlines so I would not be surprised this is what has happened.In terms of your recourse against the previous manager, good luck.

If you are truly an experienced guy at this kind of stuff and know 100% for sure you can meet your deadlines for time and $$$, then private money may be a viable option, but if not, watch out, because the clock is ticking and the $$$ add up real quick!

Two things I am less confident about are: 1) the construction quality (is it a "cracker box", did the foreman let the guys cut corners to make a deadline or save a buck or simply because he was too busy) and 2) if the home in question turns out to inspect well, how how well the neighborhood is going to fare over time if it's less than 5 or 10 years old?
