Yes you can do it but there is more regulation since the 08 crash so you need to check NC laws about how to do it properly.

We eventually moved on to a larger house, but because we we were still in a down economy we kept the original  house and rented it out for a few years hoping the walls didn’t come crashing down on our tenants!

, unfortunately that is not the case, I see many of you on this site looking for deals in big cities and other properties that just aren't going to preform as well when the next crash happens (Biiiiiig Speculation), but in all honesty if your not investing in areas where the majority of the population collects a paycheck every month for the next 4-6 years without fear of a stock price or layoffs then your request on the forums seems a little pointless.

@Vishesh Shah I have done thousands of transactions over the past 25 years and since the 2007 market crash its just about impossible to appeal and win an appraisal.
