Hi @Doug Rich, I have been trying to figure out some of the variables of the SD IRA as well.

My name is Rich I live in Boston currently.I've been working in rentals and investments for a few years and its pretty great.  

@Ken Rich,  I am not a CPA but I believe that if she sells the property she will have to pay capital gains on the difference between what she paid for it and what it sells for less any repairs or capital expenses that have been invested back into it over the last 25 years.  

Think and Grow Rich is probably one of the best books to get you started on the path. 

After reading books and studying the rich,  I was curious about RE.  

I read Rich Dad Poor Dad probably 10years ago while I was in college and I just remember it being a mindset book and at the time I was a little let down that it didn't provide me a roadmap on how to become rich. I

Thanks for this info Rich, I also have the same question about getting my real estatel icense...most brokers I talk to say no, but I wonder if that is just because they don't want another investor agent out there!  

You must constantly stay on guard against the “slicksters” who expound on softer, easier and faster methods that will make you rich, I have discovered this vulnerability in myself.
