Basically this HELOC is like a credit card, and if you pay it down they will actually give you a literal credit card that you can swipe at the gas station if you want to secure your car gas bill by your home.

One of my three rentals is 3beds, 2 baths in a "mixed income" area, some crime, but convenient to the metro train station.

Getting a money order requires them to go to USPS or a gas station, plop down cash, THEN put it in the mail. 

Hello all,I have been using my VA loan to "house hack" each duty station I have been in and have two current VA loans with one scheduled to close on my selling on the 14th of December. 

It's still affordable, close to the expressway and has a L/bus station to make the downtown commute easier.

Let me know whats the best way to go about it.So my brother will be stationed in the Military in San Diego starting April.

I am active duty military stationed overseas.  

All the colleges offer many opportunities as well.I think neighboring Harrison is also interesting with the Rd Bulls arena, new PATH station planned, and al of the investment in resi/ retail to create a commuter friendly downtown.

I lot of the military personnel stationed there try to live in Fort Collins or closer to it to the south because it has (IMHO) much more to offer.

As you know corners are valuable, this is where Walgreen, Gas Stations and other drug stores like to park their businesses.
