I am also fortunate that I run a business where basically I can travel / live anywhere so in the initial phases I’d obviously visit the city and be present during inspections, and potentially stay nearby during the rehab process, especially for the first couple investments until such time I have trust in the people on the ground.

It’s frustrating but I talk to them every month and they tell me they are getting closer to being on time.Unfortunately or fortunately being late is better than having the unit empty for a month, cleaning it up, paint, whatever else it would cost.Good Luck.
