I have a property a few blocks up on Bergenline and while there are rarely vacancies, the rents are pretty depressed in the area despite all the new construction.

You can't go one block with a crane in the air next to you, its just too much down there now.

But really, it has more to do with what is going on on the entire block than what is going on right next door.

There is a special encapsulating coating for lead (Lead Block, for one), that's more like a liquid rubber, that can be used on certain surfaces only after the surfaces have been tested and the proper paperwork filed (the EPA loves it's paperwork).
