The folks who put this particular program seem to be actually doing it (as opposed to just parroting what they got from some other training).  

My landlord at the time loved it, he was an investor and buying up houses at the time (2011-2015) he would often throw in little perks if my roommates and i did this upfront such as waving the one time pet ownership fee etc.The reason i did this ?

Never turn off the HVAC (thermostat) when leaving the house for longer than 24 hours.No grease and oils down drains.No coffee grounds down drains.No hair down drains (try a hair catcher in showers)No nail clippings down drains.No wet wipes/baby wipes down toilets, even if they say they’re flushable.Max allowed vehicles in household = 4No pets of any kind.No salt or salt-based products on driveway and walkway.I also list out all the issued items for the house (most of this pertains to my SFH, not my other smaller units):House key(s) (2)Mailbox key(s) (2)Garage door opener(s) (2)Sliding door key(s) (2)Living room ceiling fan remote control (1)Bedroom ceiling fan remote controls (2)Gas fireplace remote control (1)Large outdoor trash bin (1)Large outdoor recycle bin (1)Indoor trash/recycle bins (2)

This year, I am working on taking better care of myself, getting better rest and eating better.Bonus points if you have a life partner or other roommate type person who will cook for you, bring you tea, remind you to take a break and keep the kids/pets/bill collectors off your butt.

@Chai JonnI permit them I just charge a non-refundable pet fee of $250 per pet, and $50/mo extra in pet rent.

Usually there is something else that's important - schools, pets, move in date, something.

Did you allow the pet in the unit?

When we list all units, we are very clear about the no pets policy, no exceptions.
