Ideally, the person you choose should be someone you stick with long-term to make things easier.

We own a property in nKY built to accommodate MIL or short term rental but I have seen many that are modifiable.

Go into the settings of your profile, then notifications, and turn on the short-term rental marketing newsletter. 

Until builders can catch up and create millions of homes, I think we will continue to see huge increases in sales prices, however, the lack of sellers means numbers in terms of how many houses sold will continue to go down driving prices up even higher

The compromises and terms that you'd have to accept for a lender to take that amount of risk would likely be a bad idea.
