I am a technology and management consultant and my wife is an interior designer. 

Big businesses like Google, Uber, Apple, Facebook and Autodesk..even ARGO AI from Ford..have paved the way for Pittsburgh's tech makeover fueled by CMU's robotic, sciences and technological innovations.

This included, education resources and books, technologies / methods used to calculate deals, and many lessons learned along the path of becoming an investor. 

Legit property management companies are set up to do unattended showings with a technology partner like Rently.  

The most important need for you is that your agent has a vast network of trades, everything from plumbers to painters to a drywall crew that is not only reliable but GOOD with technology.

I believe that some of the larger, more experienced STR investors on this forum would argue that with the technology available today managing a SFR short term rental is very similar to managing a condo STR.   

The difference now is the introduction of technology and the role data plays to access demand.

All the jobs will be high paying technology and manufacturing jobs.

Whether it's developing something in technology or exploring the world, I am driven by my curiosity and desire to make a positive impact.
