That's just unnecessary, and unprofessional. 

If someone refers a contractor to me, and the contractor is renovating my property for a month or two, doesn't that prevent the contractor from being able to work on the referrer's property if they want to start a new reno?

I think it is unnecessary to have them initial specific clauses (to show its significance) because they are signing for the lease as a whole - in that case, they should probably initial each clause because are any more important than another?

Numbers don’t lie, and it prevents you from making a mistake by taking emotion or bad advice out of it.
