Even if the home is going to cash flow 2% a month, I feel like its a huge gamble. 

The 8 property portfolio deal may be an all-in gamble considering I have no experience in owning out of state properties.

While the passive income is cool, I personally enjoy the thrill of flipping and development.

I've considered waiting for the auction and bidding there for the clean title, but I'd rather get it at a fair price than gambling on what would happen at auction - I've never bid at a foreclosure auction, so I don't know the mechanics.

If you're playing the currency arbitrage game, that's fine, but you're gambling.

Taking a little bit of a gamble that the property won't have any major damage, but they've been good tenants so I don't expect that to be the case. 

But it's a gamble, could work, could not, most likely won't be how you expected lol.Renting rooms might make more money, but again different challenges.

It's a gamble - and in our case, we weighed it against what we felt like were good odds and it worked out.  

Big day coming up, lets see what happens and if there is any Knee jerk reaction to the stock market. at list we don't "gamble" there hey!
