-The fear of spending the rest of my life working for somebody else and never building my own empire.

As you can see below avoid NE or coastal areas due to cost, focus in inland locations.

I like cash flow, so I started mine in the midwest and am adding properties in the south (after buying two properties in CA in 2012 and 2014, before I was trying to "build an empire").

Just listened to the one with the mom of 6 kids who home schools and built a real estate empire, etc etc. 

@Craig DieterichYou need a great Cpa as you build your empire and be sure to get extra insurance such as an umbrella policy.

I live in the Inland Empire here in SoCal where the typical property is too expensive to get a really good return. 

My dad created a sales empire doing this.. top producer by1969...
