I contacted both the local police and detectives in the Houston area where the fake company check was written.

Couple of weeks ago, he was arguing with me so loud that neighbor called the police and he also made a racial comment while screaming at me.

I hear there are ways to get around the Sign Police.

There should also be a police report on file showing which unit had the issues, since you are suppose to report the issue to the local authorities. 

The tenant has threatened me before in the past over text messages but has been civil in person.I was going to give notice to enter the unit and schedule a locksmith (to open the storm door) and hopefully change the lock in the storm door so we can both have keys, and schedule a police officer for a civil standby.  

I'd call the police, they'd likely be able to test it to confirm what it was.

Thanks to the local police presence, the campus itself is very safe, but there's definitely a reason the homes in the surrounding area are valued what they are.
