I’m acquiring an adjacent property with the intention of developing multi family buildings. 

Access to local amenities (such as restaurants and chain big boxes) is substantially different between the two communities, however within 15 minutes Woodbury (adjacent to Cottage Grove) has more retail offerings than one would ever need4.

I'm a firm believer that vendors adjacent to real estate investors (like real estate agents, CPA's, contractors, etc) are 100% more efficient at serving investors when they are investors themselves.

I'm based in NYC with a Southwest Companion pass, freedom, cash and a quick commute to the airport, so I'm interested particularly in Kansas City, Sacramento, Charlotte, and Philly where numbers look better than Manhattan.  

Thank you for the warm welcome.As of now, my strategy consists of searching Lafayette, and its adjacent parish's, sheriff sales, sorting for properties by zip code, (70508/70503 - South Lafayette and 70506 - North of Johnston Street being much more desirable than 70501) and heading to the clerk of courts office to check for liens and any useful mortgage information on the sorted foreclosures.  

If I were you, Bajuras and Jobos wards are excellent since they are not only close to beaches but also about 15 mins from the Aguadilla airport.

In reading this Ive realized I may have to add COS to my key word allerts, although I haven't been in town long enough myself to know if the local airport code is used as a general abreviation around here.

.• I would limit the locations to major cities with airports so you can easily reach there.• A rental property is no more valuable than the jobs around it.
