Hello everyone,

I was recently inspired by Rich Dad Poor Dad.  While I don't think I will be quitting my job anytime soon,  my eyes have been opened to the importance of building my own business.  I am in the middle of reading Investing in Real Estate with No Money Down. I have also been conducting side research in addition to reading books.

Lafayette, LA isn't a cheap real estate market. The median listing price is 205k and the average $/sqft is 110.

I am interested in buy and holds - I have been looking at my parish (county) sheriff's website for foreclosure sales.
