All I wanted to do is to get out of the RAT RACE and make a living for my family, but after soaking in with BP podcasts,reading recommended books etc. my mindset was now liberated from Scarcity mindset to Abundance mindset!

If you are still trying to achieve financial freedom and escape the rat race, then you may need to put in the time to self manage and keep that bottom line healthy, so you can reinvest in other assets. 

We don't want to spend another 20 years in the rat race and we've still got kids at home.

If they you're going to do right by their childhood home or empty lot where they used to drink beer and throw horse shoes you're a lot more likely to get the deal then someone who just came off the street with a checkbook. 

Lets say you're living in a house for two years and some horrible neighbor moves in (from sloppy, to registered sex offender or any other type of bad neighbor you might detest) or they build a race track near your house or any other crazy unforeseeable thing - you would now have to prepare to bend over unless you want to deal with living live there another three years.The third place I sold closed on 7/31/17.
