At lower price points (and rougher neighborhoods) it is actually possible to cover 100% of your monthly mortgage payment (PITI), in the middle range you can probably expect to pay maybe $200 out of pocket and if you go high end on the North Shore you may need to chip in $500 a month - but you also live in an area where rents are $1500 or more.
