you dont get sued for your house you get sued and if you lose a money judgement then the winning side tried to collect and they can record their judgement in the county you own property and if the judgement is in the name of the entitiy vested to that property they can through a LOT of legal work push to get it sold. reality is pretty rare for average investor.. proper insurance will cover you in 97% chance of any money judgements.. unless your a bad boy or girl and do things intentionally etc ..

In Pittsburgh/PA, if the landlord accepts a partial payment of the back rent that is due during an eviction, does that invalidate the eviction judgement?

You could be buying a abandoned meth lab.There can be code issues listed w/the city or county and obligation on the title like a lawsuit judgement,unpaid sewer, etc.

From a time standpoint buying the mass list and hoping for the best is probably your best bet but in terms of value, I think driving for dollars is the way to go.I think the scalable part is tricky, but as you get more successful you can hire someone to drive for you (if you can trust their judgement) and their are new systems to help automate driving for dollars which should free up some time.
