The conviction would still pop up for more sensitive employment searches like police officers or day care workers, but it wouldn't be reported on this sort of a background check.

I called a wrecker service and they worked with the police to have it towed away at no expense to me.

In my experience, the only people who make money over the long haul in rentals like this are overwhelmingly criminals themselves, with a small leavening of police and other law enforcement officers, and an even smaller group of DIY mom-and-pop outfits like ours.

Do not try to collect from each group or you will have the Police out there and big fights each month.

Next, I would check with the Public Information officer with the local Police or Sheriff’s Dept. for the crime stats and then drive through the best recommendations to see what neighborhoods work for your price range.

If it is something like late payments, breaking lease terms or police visits to the rental, you may not have to check credit before turning down the application.

Noticed it was abandoned, researched courthouse records, determined it was adjudicated to the Parish for non-payment of taxes, submitted purchase request to the Police Jury for amount of back taxes, made required notifications by mail and newspaper, waiting mandatory days for owner to redeem, and when redemption period expired, closing occurred at Police Jury Office.

One benefit of being in a better area is the neighbors will be more likely to take notice, call police etc. and this often is not the case in particularly bad places - so if you are in a better area, an alarm and security lights will be more effective than a bad area.There are different types of metal of course, and I'd imagine that cheap cages are made of cheap, easy to cut through metal (just like cheap locks) so that is where I'd start my search if it was me, see if I can find a physical barrier that is good and see what the price is and start weighing options.
