It was an unexpected change, much like any prediction for 2024.There's wants & needs, and then there's reality.

I then have 10K in reserves for unexpected stuff (if I'm using my 20k savings, I'm sure there's a formula for how much I should actually have).

I have had unexpected issues pop up way too many times in the last few years, and each time I was very grateful for the extra capital I had stashed away.
