So I have been listening to guru's for some time ( im embarrassed to say how long).

Almost embarrassed to ask this!

This is the first negative post I've actually encountered, it's a little embarrassing .

There is clearly a lot of heartache behind it and more than a little embarrassing. 

Or it may be that you don't really feel "all in" yet, and telling people you are a REI and then having to go back and tell the same people later you are now an engineer may feel awkward or embarrassing. 

I won't tell all about our journey to this decision again (it's included on my profile in the about me section) because it's a little embarrassing for me to put myself right out there.

If you're not at least a little embarrassed - you Offered too much!

If you aren't embarrassed by your offer, then it's probably too high. 

I suppose you don't want to present a low-ball offer that embarrasses anyone and become known as "that guy," but I look at it this way....

Javier Molina I don't think putting a offer for 110 is crazy when they want 130 i can't remember who said it but on one on of the podcasts, the guest speaker said something to the extent of if your not embarrassed by your offer its too high.
