Can be dealt with by having a smart thermostat monitor inside temps and notify you if something is wrong.

They set the thermostat at 72, but found temps would get up to 80 or so during the day when it was over 96 degrees outside.

I use a Samsung SmartThings hub and have my Schlage Smart Connect lock and Emerson Sensi thermostat attached to it to monitor temps and give out codes to the guests.
