Can be dealt with by having a smart thermostat monitor inside temps and notify you if something is wrong. 

I’ll see if I can hook up a line on my furnace to get the fan running on my thermostat and forget about spending $5k on AC and replacing the furnace.  

I‘ve replaced both thermostats with smart thermostats to make sure it wasn’t the thermostats.

Updated the thermostat system to be Wifi accessible.

I have a yale lock, Nest thermostat, smart irrigation, and home security system.

Her heating and cooling costs are less than half the neighbors in general (no, didn’t take a pill to see where everybody sets their thermostat).Just my two cents.

It has a single 30 year old furnace and one thermostat.

They set the thermostat at 72, but found temps would get up to 80 or so during the day when it was over 96 degrees outside.  

I use a Samsung SmartThings hub and have my Schlage Smart Connect lock and Emerson Sensi thermostat attached to it to monitor temps and give out codes to the guests.
