ALSO they have regs on rooming houses only allowed in specific zoning, similar zoning as for hotels;  only on main streets in business districts AND you have to apply for licensing and blabla as for a hotel..That said;  there is a small movement supporting rent by the room as a small step toward solving affordable housing. 

It just perpetuates the cycle of insurance and cost of living increases here in Florida.

So that is one area where there could be some movement, but again, if people are thinking they are going to see a 4 in the interest rates anytime soon, I do not see it.

I had people coming to view the house tomorrow: postponed them because of this -- several were interested in a mid-month start date (we're in a university town - lots of movement!).
