I'm fairly handy, but just to balance things with my 9-5 job, focusing on something that just needs superficial updates or something nearly turn-key is probably best. 

By using time as a key asset, we can ensure that:Properties remain affordable and community-focused.Tenants have access to education and workforce opportunities.Investors receive steady returns without destabilizing the market.To Summarize:This project isn’t conventional, and I don’t expect everyone to immediately align with the vision.

Spend a little more money than you might have been planning to, buy in a better area (i.e. not a “turn key” 100k house off the mls), and self manage.

If you're new to investing, keeping an eye on property taxes and HOA fees in this area is also key.
