The first house i bought is now my rental instead of the one i inherited which i was renting out for the last 4 years.Long term Goals are to acquire more properties over time, currently my short term goal is to upgrade to a nicer house to live in.My realtor swears up and down not to sell it and to refinance the one im in, as well as my lender, but 259k in interest going from it being paid off in 4 years to 1600 a month for another 30 years is a hard pill to swallow, even though technically the tenants would be paying it off but at the same time i lose allot of profit.

As that is a tough pill to swallow (especially on the ego side), multiple investors are opting not to do this.

You can try to use another lender, but they've basically built in a "poison pill" with the fluff built into the house to use their lender so they can make even more.

I know this might be a hard pill to swallow but what about selling and paying the tax and Tbill and chill for awhile have you calculated it out just so you know the tax consequences and have it as a viable option?

REI is like anything else in life IMO there are no magic pills & no shortcuts there is success to be had and wealth to be built but it typically doesn't happen overnight and isn't sold at a conference or on an infomercial for $99.95.
