From browsing the site, there seems to be lots of generic information related to how to invest and finding deals which is relevant to other regions (working across UK, US, AUS and Japan myself).

Japan is another place for a quite a few good reasons: 1.

I will be leaving to japan from California for 6 months.

What is the sense if we are in a twenty year Deflationary period like Japan just went through because we are doing exactly the same things that Japan has done to try to "create" Inflation?

I am currently active duty in the Air Force serving in Misawa, Japan.

However,  nobody has accurately predicted when rate hikes would start and it keeps getting kicked down the road (who knows, we might be like Japan, which has kept low rates for well over a decade).
