You might want to join local real estate investment groups or attend meetups in the area.

The cost to do so was 50k to join.

Find a good mentor or join local REI groups.

I would recommend joining ULI (Urban Land Institute) They have a network of people that can provide exactly what you are looking for Remington is it just ULI dot com ?

@Marcus Retter welcome to BP.It's a great community.I've been investing in Albuquerque for 10 years, and you can find some good deals there.Personally, I live in Santa Fe.There are several active Meetups that you can join to get around to other investors.Networking is really important.Get out there and make connections with other investors; that is how I got started. 

If it takes a year I am not sure if it's worth it.Thank you Join one of the FB groups first.
