I can just imagine a bunch of smugglers in T-shirts, ballcaps, dirty jeans in some Tijuana dive bar watching TV and bursting into cheers every time the commercial comes on, flashing thumbs-up, grinning at each other and nodding enthusiastically in agreement, "Si, si!"

They will slowly move out as prices (and quality) rises but I imagine this area will still have a strong connection to Tijuana just across the border.
