For clarity sake... in a few years of doing REI on the side, I would then plan to make a decision to either go full-time in REI (my preference at this point) or continue at my place of work and possibly lighten up on the wholesaling/birddogging, hoping that 1-2 promotions (and better budgeting!)

Others are more flexible or will allow cross promotions.

Then I also applied to several personal credit cards that were offering the same promotion as well.

Either way, it seems like you are trying to promote your services, which is fine, I see people do it on the forums all the time.

So you aren't here looking for advice but merely looking to promote your listing?

Gordon does sell a course however he is hardly promoting it and does not have any notes to sell to you.

I could drop names but Bill G might see that as shameless promotion. 

Final CommentsWe promote ourselves or businesses either through advertising networking, or sharing of information in credible forums (public or otherwise).  

While specifics are not always the same, the concepts remain constant in investing in bonds or notes.Notes are not simple, those promoting the note business attempt to simplify the process to market their business, misinform or over simplify generating interest in their business.

I do not make many announcements that promote a “look at me” or “look what I have done” theme.
