Some landlords would either request a double security deposit (if allowed in your state) or jack up the rent to take someone with a history of past court judgments...as well as providing only a month to month lease to be able to get her out quicker than an eviction should she go back to her previous habits.

Hey that’s the special cookie recipe you need to make, and then your golden, I have similar issues, prices now are like a slot machine or like an auction, they are all complaining about supply and demand, I wonder if my contractors hire Chinese people and these people are stuck on a boat in Cali because all of the truck drivers are on strike?????

Hopefully the security deposit covered most of the damage (at least it’s a pretty cheap make ready. that’s really not a lot more than a simple repaint or recarpet  could run.) it’s mostly the missed rent and vacancy that’s a real killer.
