I have had my agent get a carpet cleaner over to a property on closing day with an hours notice.

It's got better build quality, and the UI is a lot cleaner- I think the operating system is a lot less bloated than windows 10 and allows the computer to perform better than it's peers with similar processors & memory. 

Even renting a carpet cleaner and replacing all the air filters and wiping down baseboards, etc etc is going to cost $200. 

If you find a local cleaner that is willing to take on the responsibilities of cleaning, inspecting, and stocking your units, you're fairly well covered in terms of owning STR's remotely.
