I think people are getting more creative thinking about separate living quarters (basements, split levels, etc.). 

Hoping to live in my next property for a year and move to another.

Good Morning,I live in New York, I am looking to move out of state.

Additionally, I modernized the interior and upgraded key features, ensuring the property not only looked better but also met the needs of tenants.

I live there and invest and in my opinion the cities investment, constant development and growth are showing dividends for investors.

Is this possible starting out or do have to live in the property a year or 2 first?

I am at a point where living with roommates is out of the picture because of my family.

They might tell you that there is something wrong with the place, or the neighbor's place across the street is a crack house so they don't want to live there, or......

Our main hesitation is simply that we feel that pets will cause additional damage, odors, etc..If we were to consider this, what are you currently charging for fees, either one-time or additional monthly fee(s)?

My sister lived only about 150 miles away, so she went over and looked at it after I bought it.
